The Best Custom Shutters, Blinds & Shades!
Proudly Serving the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

Congratulations to Sunburst’s newest #ShareYourShutters winner: Chelsey Rushworth! Her winning submission to #ShareYourShutters shows two rooms decorated with gorgeous new Polywood plantation shutters that beautifully complement both her ornate window frames and modern decor.

Neutral Living Area With Shutters

Chelsey, better known on Instagram as Taste of Coffey, is a Boston-based interior designer with a unique eye for matching colors in her decorating. A quick look at her pictures shows how she mixes and matches whites, off-whites, and muted shades for a look that’s warm and calming, but at the same time incredibly stylish.

Chelsey even has a few pieces of advice for homeowners in Dallas and beyond:

  • Have a color scheme. When you design a room, you can always adjust colors to customize it. Make sure to pull in hues from either your home’s color pallet or ones that will accentuate it.

  • Be flexible in how you use colors. I picked shutters that are vibrant white and most of my furniture is gray, both weathered wood and fabric. So I chose to add in splashes of color and white accents.

Not only does Chelsey excel at using colors in her design, but her use of space in her home is fantastic too. From the placement of her chairs that lead the eyes right up to the wall and her plantation shutters, to her choice of shelving under the casement window, Chelsey’s home is fashion-forward, functional, and extremely cozy without ever looking overdecorated.

As our #ShareYourShutters winner for Fall, Chelsey will receive a gift card to a great restaurant in Boston, in addition to featuring her designs here. To see more of her work, click over to her personal site at TasteofCoffey.com.
